This ‘Guess the Bible character quiz’ is all about New Testament Bible characters. Can you guess these 10 Bible characters from the 3 clues given? Be warned, this Bible Quiz is difficult!

For each mystery New Testament Bible character, you’ll be given:

3 clues, A little reading time, and 10 seconds thinking time. Warning- this is a difficult Bible Quiz. The only clue is that all of these mystery Bible characters are from the New Testament.

Question 1: I lived in Joppa. I made clothing for widows, and  was known for my good works and acts of charity. I died, but Peter prayed, and I was brought back from the dead.

Question 2: I was a centurion, living in Caesarea, who feared God. I was generous. I saw a vision of an angel. The angel told me to send for a man called Peter. I was the first gentile convert to Christianity.

Question 3: I was a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin. I visited Jesus at night to discuss His teachings. I reminded the Sanhedrin during an argument about Jesus that the law requires that a person be heard before being judged.

Question 4: I was one of the 12 apostles of Jesus. Me and my brother John were given the nickname “Son of Thunder” by Jesus. Jesus gave me and my brother John the nickname, “Sons of Thunder”. I was the first apostle to be martyred for my faith.

Question 5: I met Paul in Philippi, on his second missionary journey. I sold purple cloth. I am considered to be the first recorded convert to Christianity in Europe.

Question 6:I was a follower of Jesus who travelled from Jerusalem to Emmaus just after Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus appeared to me (and my unnamed friend), but we didn’t recognise Him. Jesus explained everything about himself to us using prophecies about the Messiah.

Question 7: I was a ruler in the synagogue of Capernaum. I had a 12 year old daughter who was dying, but I knew that Jesus could heal her. My daughter died, but Jesus came to my house and brought her back to life.

Question 8: I was a prophet in the early Church. I prophesied in Antioch of the approaching famine. I warned Paul in Caesarea about the bonds that awaited him in Jerusalem.

Question 9: I was an eloquent, educated man who knew the scriptures. I was taught Christian doctrine by Priscilla and Aquila. I spoke boldly and played an important role in the early development of the churches in Ephesus and Corinth.

Question 10: I was a slave who ran away from my master Philemon, after I had stolen from him. I met Paul during his imprisonment and became a Christian.
